Founder, Studio Avasa
My work has always been guided by an interest in how we grow, learn and create the conditions for living well.
With a background in education, Kundalini Yoga and meditation, much of my work has centred around helping women develop greater awareness, confidence and capacity to navigate the different stages of their lives.
I have a particular interest in the relationship between our wellbeing and the way we work, create and participate in the world. I believe that caring for ourselves is an essential part of building something meaningful and sustainable. The way we move, breathe, rest, nourish ourselves and manage the demands of everyday life can influence our ability to focus, think clearly, respond to challenges and bring our best thinking to the work we do.
My experience of creating and running Studio Avasa has also deepened my appreciation for the importance of physical spaces that bring people together. Places where meaningful connections can develop, ideas can be exchanged and women can benefit from the experience, knowledge and perspectives of others.
As someone who understands the realities of building a small business, I've become increasingly interested in the challenges women face when working independently. While there is great freedom in creating something of your own, there can also be isolation, uncertainty and the expectation that we should somehow know how to do everything ourselves.
I believe there is real value in creating environments where women can access practical knowledge, professional expertise and genuine opportunities to collaborate, while having the space and encouragement to develop their own ideas.
My vision for Studio Avasa is to bring these elements together in a considered, professional and welcoming environment. A place where women can work with intention, learn from experienced people, build meaningful relationships and develop their businesses without losing sight of their own wellbeing.
I see my role as both a facilitator and a connector, bringing together women, ideas, skills and opportunities that may not otherwise cross paths.
At the heart of my work remains a simple belief: the way we care for ourselves, the environments we create and the people we surround ourselves with all influence what becomes possible.
